Why Tangier

1. We schedule around the ferry, not the calendar There's no driving to Tangier. Our crew arrives by ferry, works the day, leaves by ferry. That means service days are full days, weather-window-dependent, and pre-scheduled. Spring and fall are easier; winter and high-summer storm season are harder. We book Tangier work as block-scheduled trips, not a-la-carte.

We know salt-everything is the reality Tangier is a flat island in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay — every exterior surface deals with constant salt spray, hurricane storm surge, and the highest erosion rates on the East Coast. Marine-grade sealants on every job. Re-caulking cycles measured in months not years. Frame houses on stilts that need crawl-space and post inspection along with surface work.
3. We respect the community Tangier is a small, tight-knit working community. We work with the local crab-shanty schedules, we don't park where it blocks watermen access, and we treat the community the way our own neighbors would want — quietly, respectfully, no fuss.

If you're on Tangier Island — Main Ridge, West Ridge, Canton, the working harbor, or the airstrip approach — we work it on extended-zone terms: block-scheduled trips, weather-dependent, ferry-coordinated. Trip fee applies (we're chartering a day on the island, not stopping by for an hour). Minimum service value typically waived because the routing is genuinely unique.
